going bananas

We have too many bananas! There is another stalk ready to cut any day now. And at the end of the street I could fill that bucket with mangoes in minutes. Spring is harvest time in the tropics.
I am going to drop the Tropical Vegan (a link from Groovers blog) a line and offer them some bananas. They are JCU students, so we are sort of related.

Smoothy anyone?

Hey, thanks for the offer! Bananas would be lovely, actually. I feel like I kind of already know you anyways, from all the BUG emails. You can email me theresa.petray@jcu and let me know when and where to grab them. I can offer back some baked goods if you like -- good post bike-ride snacks :)

How much to ship them down to Brissy? ;-) I'm looking forward to reading on Therese's blog all the yummy things she'll make out of bananas. LOL

Oh, by the way: I have a really great Mango Bread recipe if you want. I used to make bread from the stringy mangos that grew in our backyard in Cairns.

Holy crap, too many bananas, bread from mangos? You people are too much.

I'm trying to figure out how to make things from acorns and dead leaves...

Ha!

I saw an oak leaf wine recipe once, I think they had to be green though. And 40 million squirrels can't be wrong, acorns are good tucker!

The bananas are great! I had a banana split the other night, put some in the freezer, and will be baking some things today :) Thanks so much!
