seasonal (?) photos

Christmas eve dinner of papusa and home made extras. This is traditional somewhere, surely.

Chief quality control officer makes sure it is OK

We are SO not vegans, ribs are a Christmas Eve indulgence, sorry all you vegans!

Evidence of tiny reindeer! A Christmas critter snacked on fruit in the fruit bowl during the night, proof of tiny tropical reindeer for sure!!!
Who opened all the presents? I am a bit sad they are gone.... I see my time stamp is off by a day.

It's just 27 minutes into Christmas here and I'm primed to do my super duper mashed potatoes at Sharon's Moms later today.

So Merry Christmas to you and BoaB Dee I'll go sniff a real balsam for you sometime today.

Although I would trade that for some fresh mangos right now.

I have to settle for the smell of turkey, but I can't get summer savory, so even that is not quite right. I will appreciate the whiff of real balsam!

I took my folks out to Brett's Wharf last night - seafood at it's best! We also had original German potatoe salad and mangos and Stollen. Just choose the best from all worlds - guilt-free! That's what Christmas is all about, isn't it? LOL

Cyclists do love their food! I think we have all earned a relax and enjoy.

Hey how you going?, have just stumbled across your blog. Forgive me I've I'm being a bit thick but am I right in thinking you're based in Townsville, QLD. My parter & I are moving there in the 1st quarter of 2010 from UK, am very interested in meeting up with cyclists/runners etc when settled, are there any clubs/groups thay you are able to recommend?
Thanks for your help in this matter.

Lots of cyclists and runners here. Don't know a running club, but there are several I think. Townsville Cycling Club is it for road and track. Drop by Top Brand cycles and talk to the staff, there is a running shop next door to connect you to the runners. Juliettes on the Strand for coffee Saturday morning between 7 and 8:30 is hopping with cyclists! There are lots of informal riding groups, you are welcome to join ours.
