no more map

I got so annoyed with my feedjit map that I nuked it. It lost the plot and had me pegged as being for Yatala (I don't even know where that is, must google it), then Brisbane. Then it seemed to think most everyone in Australia was from Brisbane. And that Americans are from USA. Not very useful any more. If you know of any cool widgets I have some real estate available.

Hmm, Yatala is one of two things - a remote Aboriginal settlement out on the Nullabor Plain (or is that Yalata?). Yatala is also one of the maximum security men's prisons in Adelaide.

Lucky it wasn't the women's prison - or you could have been unwittingly revealed some long hidden truths!

Map-wise - ClustrMaps I've found to be OK. But most of the blog-type map plugins I really think are a little on the underwhelming side.

A dedicated GIS geek could code up some sort of real-time 'Where's Dee' map with proximity to cycle paths, bakeries and coffee purveyors.

I have been resisting getting an iphone, but if I had one I could probably do that. None of my garmins would rate. hmmm...

and my past is squeeky clean, Australia isn't for convicts any more!

I did see something about ArcMap for iPhone on the ESRI forums somethere the other day - would that seal the deal for you?

I've got one and it is actually pretty cool!

I am moved by the app that Bicycle Victoria is promoting. It records all your ride to a central database so they can get a real understanding of bicycle movements. I am OK with Big Brother watching me. We are all just data...
