the sun is setting
 
a cool breeze rises as little flower cages form
pop!

Hymenocallis Littoralis, that old thing. I crave the giant ones I saw in Hawaii, with deep pink in the foliage. Garden nerds, we are out there.

I've NEVER ever seen lily's like that! Gorgeous. Wonder if they'd live in Ontario?

I seem to remember reading that they are related to amaryllis, so who knows? They would be a nice house plant, tough as old boots and the bloom is a nice soft scent like baby powder.

Nice to know, I have an Amaryllis that blooms twice per year. In fact it is currently sporting 4 blooms!
